Campbellville, Ont. – December 3, 2015 – Local 12R24 member and McMaster University student Lauren Pucci is one of the 30 recipients of the UFCW Canada Local 12R24 Annual Scholarship Awards for 2015.

Lauren, who is completing a Masters program in Labour Studies, is seen here receiving a scholarship cheque of $1,000 from Local 12R24 President Rob Edwards and Service Representative Randy Walton.

Each year, 30 scholarships of one-thousand dollars ($1000.00) each are awarded to UFCW Canada 12R24 members, or their dependents, who are attending full-time studies at a university, college or other recognized post-secondary institution.

“I would like to take this time to thank UFCW Canada Local 12R24 for my scholarship, as well as the hard work you all put in for The Beer Store employees on a day-to-day basis,” writes Lauren. “When I received the news that I was one of the winners for this scholarship I was absolutely thrilled, as it will make a significant contribution in paying my tuition for this school year.”
