On March 30/2014 Rob Hybsky, VP Region #7 and Jim Hewitt, MAP Rep Region #7, participated in the " Around The Bay" road race in Hamilton. The race is a 30 km race that originated on Christmas Day in 1894, the oldest road race in North America.
Since 2005 the Around the Bay road race has been a charity event. All funds raised support the compassionate patient care and groundbreaking research that are the hallmarks of St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
Jim ran the race in 2 hours and 36 minutes and Rob finished in 3 Hours and 26 minutes. Obviously times that are something to be very proud of. Jim will be running a 1/2 marathon in Kalamazoo, Mi on May 4th and Rob will be running in the Forest City 1/2 Marathon in London, On on April 27th. Jim has been running for more than 10 years and influenced Rob about 2 years ago.
